Fiber Optic Cabling/Installation

The Hall County IT Department is seeking sealed public bids for installation of 12-strand Singlemode 9/125 fiber optic cabling (distribution cabling with rugged black UV protective plenum-rated jacket suitable for indoor/outdoor application) to be run from a network room on the 2nd Floor of the Hall County Administration Building at 121 South Pine Street to a network room in the Plaza Square Building at 207 North Pine Street.

Vendor would be responsible for complete end-to-end installation: outdoor-rated fiber cabling, rack-mounted or wall-mounted fiber patch panels with the fiber strands terminated with ST connectors at endpoints, directional boring and any permits required, pull boxes, outside and underground conduit, fusion splicing, testing and any other installation hardware/services required to successfully complete the install.

Vendors should include quantities/specs of items quoted, general path planned for the buried cabling and your estimated target start/end dates.

Public Bid opening scheduled for 9:30 A.M. on January 27, 2015 at the meeting of the Hall County Board of Supervisors, Hall County Administration Building, 121 South Pine Street, Grand Island, NE 68801.

After the bid opening date the Computer Committee will review the opened bids and bring a bid award recommendation for discussion and approval to the February 10, 2015 Hall County Board of Supervisors meeting.

Hall County Corrections Department:
On-Site Visitation Schedule

The Hall County Department of Corrections will no longer be offering on-site visitation on Mondays. To visit an inmate on-site you must register at least 24 hours in advance at the facility or online at The new On-site visit schedule will be Tuesday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. You may schedule unlimited off-site internet based video visit by visiting Off-site visits will be subject to a small fee and can be scheduled with no waiting period with prior site approval. Off-site visits will continue Monday – Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
